Vang Malavong

Vang Malavong, age 80, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023.

She was born April 4, 1943, in Laos to her parents, Pane and Bouapha. She worked as a seamstress during her working years. Vang enjoyed going to the temple and she loved to travel. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her friends.

Vang is survived by her children, Vatsana Khamphouk, Chinda Chareunsab, Konekeo Malavong, Kheokham Malavong, and Ladda Malavong, eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peng Malavong and her parents.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Cremation will follow the service. Urn burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
