Service Details

Baby Jude Meyer Green was born sleeping at 4:11 a.m. on February 16, 2023, at Methodist Hospital. He weighed 5 lbs 4 oz and was 20 inches long with beautiful red hair and big feet.

He was a long awaited rainbow baby, who taught us not only to hope, but smile again during a difficult time. Everything about Jude, from pregnancy to his red hair, was a delightful surprise.

He was most active in the early mornings, when he had special time to bond with his Mom. He enjoyed the music big brother Zeke would play on the way to school and would dance in the evenings so Zeke could count kicks, but always seemed to get shy when Dad tried to count. He enjoyed it when his mom ate ice cream and drank la Croix.

Jude’s time on earth was too short, but he left an imprint on the hearts of all who were eager to meet him. He will forever be loved and remembered by his mommy and daddy, Danielle and Andrew Green; his big brother, Zeke Green; his grandparents, Kathy Wachtel, Rod and Cathy Ballard, Yvonne and Rick Herrmann; great-grandparents, Judith Schroder, Harold Meyer; aunt and uncle, Justin and Paige Green; great-aunts and uncles, Mia and Terry Montang, Troy and Lisa Meyer, Nancy and Ward Seufferlein, Pat Wachtel, Craig and Cathy Ballard; cousins, Leo and Scarlett Green, Thaddeus Wagner, Ethan Montang, Elyse Montang, Jessica Meyer, Jordan and Jaylen Meyer, Dalton and Makenna Meyer, Ivy and David Seufferlein, Amber Schaffer, Sam and Koen Jacobson, Tammy VanCannon Ballard, Jonathan Ballard, Katie Ballard, Nick Ballard, Danielle Brewer, Nate Ballard; as well as cherished friends of the family.

Jude is cradled in the arms of his family that have gone before him – his great-grandparents, Steve and Joan Wachtel; Wayne Schroder; his angel sibling; and cousin, Eden Montang, who undoubtedly embraced him with a big kiss.

There will be a visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW Ninth St. Des Moines. A reception will take place after the service.
