Mary Alice Hill
January 26, 2023
Mary Alice Hill, age 63, passed away on January 26, 2023. Mary Alice was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on January 28, 1959. She died suddenly from natural causes at her home in Clive.
Mary Alice had a long and successful career in Human Resources, helping hundreds of people with their own careers. Before her retirement in 2020, she served as Human Resources Director at Drake University. Mary Alice volunteered both in her retirement and throughout her career. While living in Madison, Wisconsin, she served as a Big Sister; and this year in Des Moines, she received a certificate of appreciation from the Iowa Mentoring Partnership for her work reading to children.
Mary Alice, a private pilot, loved aviation. She met her husband Dave at the EAA show in Oshkosh. She often talked about her love of cars, and became the first female president of the Schonesland Porsche Club. An avid ancestry researcher, she proudly became a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She cheered on her favorite teams: The Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. She leaves a legacy of connecting people to each other and promoting positivity wherever she went.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her beloved father, Eddie Wilson. She is survived by her husband, David A. Hill, Jr. of Clive; her mother, Mary Lee Sweet; and sister, Di Wilson Smith (Steve) of St. Joseph, Missouri; her brother, Austin Wilson (Laura) of Sammamish, Washington; stepdaughter, Amy Verby of Minneapolis, Minnesota; stepson David Hill of Minnesota; and beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Another tragic and unnecessary death from the Covid vaccines. Did you get a proper autopsy? Did they look for the spike protein in tissues? Its different than the spike from the natural virus.
My family, friends, colleagues, and community have suffered many deaths and serious injuries from the Covid shots. Cardiac arrest, strokes, neurological damage.
Speak out , you will save lives.
If you got a shot get a echocardiogram and a d-dimer blood test to check for micro clots. Insist on it. Its saved some of my family members.
Rest In Peace Mary Alice. You didnt deserve this!

On behalf of everyone at Everybody Wins Iowa, I'd like to share our deepest condolences. Mary Alice was a reading mentor with our program for a number of years and touched the lives of many, many students. Mary Alice's warm smile and kind words made her a favorite among students and fellow mentors alike. She was a wonderful mentor and we were fortunate to have her in our program. She will be deeply missed.

I worked with Mary Alice at PowderJect Vaccines. She was such a spirited, kind-hearted woman. She was so well thought of by everyone there.
HR is not an easy field, but MA was instrumental in keeping PJV a place where everyone enjoyed working.
Our most sincere condolences.

Dave and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you. Ive been trying to understand MAs passing for a week now. I am no closer to understanding it and still shocked she is gone but have comfort in knowing God has greater things in store for her. I worked closely with MA for a long time. She has a beautiful soul and was such a positive force, overflowing with empathy, kindness, and compassion. She was also tough when she needed to be, confident in what was right and wrong and influencing others to do the right thing. She helped so many people, both professionally and personally. She was a joy to be around, always cheerful and finding the humor in things that made us laugh a lot. I miss that. I am grateful I ran into you and MA in Door County last July in the back corner of that little store. MA called it a God Wink. She always knew what to say. Im sorry I wont be able to travel back to West Des Moines for the funeral next week. Ill be watching the livestream. Tracy and I are praying for you.

We had the good fortune to get to know MA and Dave through Schonesland. MA was so kind, encouraging and upbeat. Every room was brighter with MA in it. We looked forward to every Schonesland event as another potential opportunity to see MA and Dave. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers Dave.

This is such a shock and so sad. I met Mary Alice when we both worked in HR at IFMC (now Telligen). She was always positive, smiling, smart yet down to earth on everything. A great professional, ethical but also fun. Stayed friends afterward when I'd see her at HR group meetings or at church. Condolences to Dave. I'm so sorry.

I met MA when I was in elementary school (2nd grade?) and we were in the same Sunday school class at Wyatt Park Baptist. At one point her mom was our teacher. We went on so many church trips together and created a lot of wonderful memories. I was shocked to hear she was gone. She and David were amazing together. Love to all of her friends and family.

This is such sad news. I got to know "M.A." in St. Joe in the late 1970s. She was a good-hearted and generous person with many smart and life-loving gifts.
I am not surprised at her involvement with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and with mentoring. We will make a donation in her name to our local branch, where I have been involved for nearly 40 years. Sending caring thoughts and condolences to the family.
