Patty Anderson

Patty J. Anderson, 85, passed away January 19, 2023 at Taylor House Hospice. She was born in Woodward, Iowa on January 14, 1938, the daughter of Fred and Isabel Anderson.

Patty was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, attended Woodside High School and played basketball while in school. She was a homemaker for her children and grandchildren. Patty enjoyed bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. She liked watching TV, Wheel of Fortune, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, and football, she was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Patty is survived by her children, Deborah (Doug) Ashbaugh, Ronda Nixon, Kris Fleenor, and William Plummer; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Plummer; grandson, Kenneth Bennett; and brother, George Anderson.

Services will be at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2023 with a 10 a.m., service on Monday, January 30, 2023. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
