Agnes Spencer

Agnes Kathryn Spencer, 85, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Gatchel United Methodist Church with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Agnes was born July 2, 1921 in Bondurant, Iowa. She lived in the Des Moines area since 1945. She worked at Younkers in the bakery department until the early 1970’s. She was a member of Gatchel United Methodist Church and the UMW group at Gatchel. Agnes enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Agnes is survived by her children, John of Des Moines, Robert of Papillion, NE, Patti Spencer Burdette of Des Moines and Michael of Winterset, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Mary C. Horhmann of Delaware Township.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
