Buddy Gene Hughes, Jr.

Buddy Hughes, Jr., age 58, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at State Center Specialty Care. He was born the son of Nancy & Buddy Hughes, Sr., on November 14, 1964, in Des Moines, Iowa.

In his younger years, Buddy enjoyed roller skating and fishing. Later in life, he became a “Hobbiest” and loved dabbling in many different activities such as reading, doing research, guns, drones, RC cars and more. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family.

He is lovingly survived by his son Josh Hughes, granddaughter Penelope Hughes, sister Melissa (Ron) Bailey and their children Drake (Dana) Bailey and Danielle (Delaney) Bailey, mother and step-father Nancy and John Henry, step-mother Linda Hughes, best friend Joe Heather, and other loving relatives and many special friends.

Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Hughes, Sr.

Private family gathering has occurred and cremation followed per Buddy’s wishes.
