Brenda Draper
November 23, 2022
Brenda Lee Draper, 58, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. She was born to Carolyn and Harley Vernon Clay on September 1, 1964. She attended East High School and Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines.
Brenda was always a fighter! One of the strongest and bravest women we’ve ever known. She fought every battle that the world hit her with and overcame each fight. Surviving, coming out more beautiful than each time before. Brenda loved her children and grandchildren. They were all what she was most proud of. She also loved her cat Lullabell and the Green Bay Packers. She collected many things but her biggest collection was her movie collection. She used to check movies out to her friends and family like she was the movie store. She also loved her music! Always blaring her radio. Perhaps one of the things Brenda loved most was her phone. She loved talking to people. She was a people person and if you got to meet her, you loved her. One of the things that we will miss about her are her long voicemails that she always left us letting us know just how much she loved us all.
She is survived by her daughters, Kaylee Draper and Kelsy (Jason) Cole; her grandchildren, Riley, Jazzy, Adrian, Sajon, King, Major, and Katalina; her siblings, Rhonda, Verna, Debbie, Annie, and Roddie; and her longtime best friend, Richard Cox.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mom and dad, great-grandparents, aunt Jackie B, and son Kody.
No services will be held at this time.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Brenda.

Kaylee and Kelsy,
I am so sorry to hear about Brenda. I will always love your mom, she was like a second mom to me when we were younger. I will never forget how she was always there for us no matter what was going on. Just remember she will always be with you watching over both you!

My love goes out to Brennie's girls and grandkids. She loved you all so much. Brennie was one of the strongest people I have ever known. My heart is broken that she lost her battle. I love you Brennie and I will miss you so much. Love is the greatest gift and you are so loved.
