The world will not be the same without Mel. She had a smile and laugh that you just had to feel better about whatever was troubling you. A friend through thick and thin. So caring, fun, and loyal. Michael, she loves you fiercely and will no doubt be with you for the rest of your life...smiling, being proud, and enjoying seeing you grow. Love you Mel! Rest in peace and give Jimmy a hug from me.

Mel, you will be missed lovely lady! We played softball for many years at East Des Moines league growing up. The best years for me were when we played softball together. You were always a kind soft spoken person. I will miss you!!!

I have so many incredible memories of us growing up together, I don't even know how to begin missing you. The days spent on horseback, the nights giggling like the girls we were with our dreams and wishes. Growing older took us on different paths but that bond never went away. I will always hold you close in my heart. I know you're with Jimmy, Larry, and your folks who you missed so much, and that gi es me peace. Give my mom a hug too, she'll be happy to see you. And someday we can ride the winds together again. I love you Mel1, and will miss you forever.
