Mary Ruiz

Mary Lucinda Stoffa Ruiz, 49, of Des Moines died February 8, 2007 at Mercy Hospice of Johnston from ovarian cancer.
Funeral services will be 10AM Monday, February 12th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial following at Glendale on University. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mary was born December 9, 1957 to Inez and John Stoffa in Ottumwa, IA. She graduated from Ottumwa High in 197 She married Marce G. Ruiz on October 28, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV. Mary loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also loved shopping. She was very loving, strong willed, funny, brave, optimistic and always thought of others first.
Mary is survived by her husband Marce; daughter, Crystal Ruiz; 3 grandchildren, Keegen, Kayne, and Kaylee Ruiz and her 2 dogs Twister and Eppie. Her parents Inez and John Stoffa preceded her in death.
