Rebecca (Becky) L. (Bloomquist) Hoeppner, age 65, loving mother of two and adoring wife to her husband Larry D. Hoeppner, passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Becky was born September 3rd, 1957 in Perry, Iowa to Leland and Doris Bloomquist. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska with her 5 siblings. Becky graduated in 1975 from Millard High School.

She met her husband, Larry Hoeppner, while working at Rapid Printing in Omaha and later married July 16th, 1988. The two welcomed the birth of their first born, Joshua D. Hoeppner, on October 22nd, 1989. They later welcomed their daughter, Tiffani L. Hoeppner, on June 25th, 1991.

Becky and her family moved to Altoona, Iowa in 2001 after a job transfer for her husband. As a family of 4, the family planted their roots and called Iowa home. Becky spent many years enjoying serving as “the lunch lady” with the Southeast Polk school district.

In the summer of 2021, Becky received a diagnosis of lung cancer. Though devastated by the news, she was always a fighter and was not going to lose the battle. Due to additional health complications, Becky took early retirement prior to the start of the 22’-23’ school year so she would be able to spend her remaining time with the ones she loved most her family and of course her grandbabies.

Becky is survived by her husband Larry Hoeppner, son Joshua Hoeppner, daughter Tiffani (Joe) Graves, grandsons Asher Fitzgerald, Ryker Graves, Kason Graves, 4 step grandsons, her siblings Pam Widtfeldt, Tim Bloomquist, Troy (Colleen) Bloomquist and many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Lenard Bloomquist, Richard Bloomquist, uncles and grandparents.

Family, friends and others whose lives Becky touched are invited to her celebration of life on November 23rd, 2022 at Founders Banquet Hall, 110 1st St SE Bondurant, Iowa from 2-6pm. Those planning to express their sympathy, flowers, donations, condolences, etc., please direct all memorials to the family.
