Suzanne Cody, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born the daughter of Elvin & Jean (Brown) Cody on June 13, 1964 in Troy, Ohio.

Suzanne graduated from East High School in Des Moines. She was a stay at home mom for a bit and then began working for Dahl’s Foods as District Deli Manager. She retired after 20 years in 2013, due to a back injury. Suzanne enjoyed cooking, reading gossip magazines, and watching Court TV & 90 Day Fiancé. Above all, she loved her family and her two dogs, Chewy & Duke. Suzanne will be remembered and live on through the hearts and lives that she has touched in her lifetime.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter Stephanie (Mitch) McLaughlin, grandchildren Aryanna Chia (16 yrs.), Lydia Diaz (10 yrs.), Mackson McLaughlin (8 yrs.), Meliah McLaughlin (6 yrs.), and Montana McLaughlin (3 yrs.), brother Elliott Jay Cody, sister Mellissa Ann Kays, and many other loving family members.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Fernando Chia.
