Bill Porter

Bill KS Porter, 60, passed away on October 4, 2022. Bill was born on July 8, 1962 to Robert and Maxine Porter. Bill worked for Vermeer Corp. in Pella as a welder and prior at Maytag. He was married to the love of his life Rhonda for 30 years who passed away in 2011. Bill had a love of horses and would always say he was a “real” cowboy.

Bill is survived by his sisters; Bonnie Porter, Lorraine Fisher, Robin (Travis) Burnett, Carolyn; brothers; Terry, Jerome (Suzee), Larry (Beth), Allen (Cathy) and Michael Porter; step-children; Amanda Bullard and Jeremy (Jackie) Dittmer; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rhonda, brother Gary and sister Diane.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2022, at Prairie City Church of the Brethren, 12015 Hwy S 6G in Prairie City, followed by burial at Griffis Cemetery.
