Clint Jensen
September 14, 2022
Clint Douglas Jensen was born March 24, 1977, in Newton, Iowa: the son of Doug and Sherry (Martin) Jensen. “Roy”, as referred to by family and friends, was the 2nd oldest of 4. He graduated from Newton High School in 1995, and continued his education for many, many, many semesters attending NIACC, Lindenwood University, Hawkeye Community College and graduated from UNI in 2002 with a degree in Construction Management. You see it wasn’t a race, but about living every facet: it was about playing football, working construction jobs, and living life to its fullest.
Clint was the epitome of “The Dash”, those who knew and loved him know the value of that dash between the dates. He brought his all to everything he touched! His wife Amy, their girls Taya & Haylen, the entire Jensen and Zimmerman families, his long list of friends and coworkers, knew that Clint was the most loving husband, father, sibling, son, and son-in-law a family could ask for. He shared this same love with his community of friends, neighbors, associates, and acquaintances. He fully enjoyed what he did and (most) of those he met in his life.
Clint followed his “live life to its fullest” philosophy throughout his life while bringing endless joy and laughter to everything he touched, you can see his personality in his smile. He loved spending time with his family, coaching his girl’s teams, spending time on the water, watching sports, farming, hunting, attending sprint car racing, playing pitch, catching up with friends and family and that occasional adult beverage!
Clint had a strong work ethic and pursued his construction career beginning at Farver Construction through his most recent with Story Construction as Project Manager since 2013. He loved seeing those projects being utilized and enjoyed in the community.
Clint and Amy Zimmerman met in 1999, they were married May 24, 2003, and looked forward to a long and happy life together. They welcomed twin daughters in 2009.
Clint is survived by his wife Amy, daughters Taya and Haylen. His parents Doug and Sherry Jensen of Newton, siblings Jason (Julie) of Ankeny, Brent (Ashley) of Newton, and Courtney Strike (Jarid) of Bondurant. In-laws Dick & Kim Zimmerman of Cedar Falls, Brother-in Law Kelly (Zimmerman) (Amy) of Bettendorf along with nieces Kayla & Carlie Jensen, Makayda Jensen, and Nora Zimmerman and nephews Colt Jensen, Caiden & Calen Strike, and Samuel Zimmerman as well as extended family, friends, and coworkers.
Those planning on an expression of sympathy please direct your memorials to the family, please make checks payable to the “Jensen Family” or to their Go Fund Me. They further request that you raise a glass in his memory.
Clint and his life lived were much more than a dash, his shoes cannot be filled.
Clint Jensen’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, with immediate family present from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. It’s time to raise your glass, bring your own beverages and memories to share. American Legion Post 396 – Bondurant, 315 2nd street NW, Bondurant, IA.

Although we were never fortunate enough to meet Clint personally, many have shared his 'story' and how he lived life to its fullest.
His story reminds us of a Lincoln quote: "Live a Good Life. For in the End, its not the Years in the Life, but the Life in the Years".
Condolences to all.

To Clint's family: I met Clint through the SVPA Architects - Story Construction collaboration for Bondurant-Farrar CSD projects. I really enjoyed working with him - his passion for his work and his community was always evident and I admired his work ethic. We will miss him here at SVPA. My condolences to his family and friends.

I will always remember Clint as a professional and a friend. We first met when he was hired for one of our construction projects but our friendship spanned decades afterwards. Clint was always positive, friendly and proud of his family! I will miss him greatly.
My heartfelt condolences to all who knew Clint but especially his family.

It was our honor to know Clinta stand-up man who was easy to like and to trust. He led us through a major renovation project at the Steamboat Rock Baptist Church and quickly became our friend. We are so sorry for his passing and wish to let you know that you are in our prayers. May you know the peace of friends and of the Lord at this time and always. Al and Deb Johnson
