Trudy Diane Diehl

Trudy Diane Diehl, 75, passed away on July 23, 2022, in Des Moines. She was born in Rock Island, IL on April 26, 1947, to Leonard and Jewel Knochenmus.

Trudy had the sweetest and kindest soul. She was so personal, genuine and had a heart of gold. Family was her biggest priority and she always treasured making memories. Trudy was the best wife, mom and grandma you would ever meet. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Trudy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill; children, Joel (Melinda) and Heather (Buddy) Hoffman; grandchildren, Madison (Kyle), Michael, Mallory (Ben), Jackson and Sam; great-grandchildren, Gaige, Lincoln, Holden, Norah and Jasper; sister, Mitzi (Ron) Norin and Julie (Steve) Dasso; other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Jewel Knochenmus; and her brothers, Joel and Ron Knochenmus.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m., with service to begin at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Trudy.
