Marjorie Helen Koester

Marjorie Koester, 93, passed away on May 28, 2022. She was the oldest child of Carl and Leora Koester. A private graveside service will be held later this month.

Marge spent most of her professional life in the Washington, D.C. area. She was a physical therapist and also taught at several locations. At Northern Virginia Community College she was responsible for starting the Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Of special interest to Marge was counted cross stitching, reading, music, art museums and traveling. She was definitely an AVID “birder”. The N.C. Outer Banks was her favorite vacation spot.

Marge is predeceased by a sister and brother- in- law, Betty and Kit Kitzman and is survived by a brother, Richard (Didi); sister, Lois Kriebs; 9 nieces and nephews; 17 grand -nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
