Service Details

Jordan Michael Berry was 29 years old when he passed away on April 11, 2022. He was born in Des Moines, IA. He grew up in Ankeny, graduated from Ankeny High School, and later became a forklift driver.

Jordan was a very active little guy. He would perfect his Power Ranger skills in the isles of the grocery stores. There wasn’t a coupon that didn’t feel his powerful Karate chop. There wasn’t a pair of jeans that didn’t have worn out knees.

He grew up playing basketball, skateboarding, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends. Jordan loved computer science.

During his time in school, Jordan got in a little trouble for standing up for his friend, but was never in trouble at home. He had a big heart for those close to him.

Jordan had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. You could be in a bad mood and then see Jordan smile. You couldn’t resist smiling too.

In 2012, Jordan welcomed his son, Javen, into the world. That day was the happiest day of his life with a smile from ear to ear.

Once old enough, Jordan taught Javen how to play basketball, skateboard, play pool, and play video games.

Jordan volunteered as a youth basketball coach for his son’s team. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching the kids new skills and watching them develop through the season.

Jordan wasn’t afraid of adventures. He went skydiving for his birthday and absolutely loved it.

Jordan is survived by his son, Javen Berry; mother, Janice Berry-Pinegar; step-father, Matt Pinegar; sister, Paige Pinegar; and many loving family members. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sue Wing; grandfather, Roy Berry; uncle, Troy Berry; and cousin, Isaac Ekman.

A Facebook page will be created and called “Jordan Berry Celebration”.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Jordan.
