Sally Piper

Sally Ann Piper, 79, passed away March 23, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
 
Sally was born January 18, 1943 in Des Moines to Mel and Darlene (Anderson) Hardenbrook. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. She married Wendell Piper on November 2, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
Sally enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, gambling in Vegas, cooking but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
 
Sally is survived by her husband, Wendell Piper; daughters, Heidi (Kevin) Evans and Bambi Piper; grandchildren, Josh (Heather) Evans and Jadi Evans (Adam Johnson); great-grandchildren, Haley, Silas, Mila, Roman, and Charli; brothers, Mel (Kenna) Hardenbrook, Mike Hardenbrook, and Pat Hardenbrook; brothers-in-law, Audley Conrath and Mike (Colleen) Adams; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sharon Conrath and Vicki Sprouse; mother-in-law, Mary Shutt; uncle, Bobby Anderson; and aunt, DeeDee Anderson.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
