Michael "Mike" Anthony Miller
February 25, 2022
Michael “Mike” Anthony Miller, 58, was born September 2, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa to Francis and Eileen Miller. He passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, surrounded by family in his home.
Mike was a proud husband, son, brother, father, and the best papa. He was determined to be present and live life to its fullest while always enjoying the simple things. He had an infectious laugh and a contagious smile that lit up any room. Mike was a talented baseball player who instilled a love for the game through his children and coaching. He enjoyed time at the lake, practicing craftsmanship, a good beer, and helping others. Mike shared his faith by partaking in adoration for 15 years and was a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Mike fought cancer for nearly a decade but never let it slow him down.
His light is still so bright, and will continue to shine through his loving wife, Janelle; children, Erika (James) O’Connor, Amanda Miller, Michael (Kelcee) Miller, Alexis (Zach) Cooper, and Andrea Miller; step-children, Nick Ochoa and Morgan Ochoa; siblings, Francis “Bud” (Rachel) Miller, Chris (Kim) Miller, Pat (Kristi) Miller, Monica (Mike) Roland, Sheila (Steve) McGoldrick, Sarah (Marty) Dudley, and David (Andrea) Miller; grandchildren, Mick Miller, Jett Miller, Callan Cooper, and Ayla Cooper; and a host of loving relatives and many special friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022, with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, also at the church. Mike will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the Mass.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Mike.

Hey Miller-Ochoa clan, I am so sorry for your loss. Mike will be missed by so many. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, godfather and papa. I thank God for putting him in our lives. He always accepted us as his family and we will always remember him as such. As Aly said "God took a great one"

Janelle , Eileen , Frances and all his kids along w entire Miller family.. ...
I can't express the depth of my sorrow for your loss. May we all find strength in God's love.
As I remember the many spring and summer days @ FDSM Little League , Mike and Jim coaching many ball players over the years , I always admired Mike for his commitment to coaching his little brother , David.
While his young family was always present cheering and supporting the team. Mike was such a family man. He ALWAYS was with his family , everyday.
Working , coaching , worshiping truly loving and caring deeply for one another and he has a huge family !!
I.will always remember his softly spoken , bashful personality .
We also shared fun times at Sun Valley.
You will all be in my prayers and may Mike no longer suffer from the affects of his illness.
May GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
