Alicia Lynn Gearhart
February 27, 2022
Alicia Lynn Gearhart, age 27, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022.
Alicia was born May 18, 1994 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a loving mother and a hard worker. Alicia was loud, goofy, and could always make you laugh. Anyone who knew her knew she was protective of her loved ones and high strung. Family meant everything to her. She loved playing with her kids and there are countless memories of her with her family, spending time outdoors, especially with her dad camping, fishing, or grilling. Alicia was truly one of a kind. She was full of attitude and sass and could light up any room. She attended East High School in Des Moines and was a die-hard Packers fan.
We celebrate the life and share the memory of Alicia. Alicia was many things. To try and capture her spirit with mere words was no simple task. Alicia was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She was strong, brave, and fierce. She was loving, kind, and compassionate. She was loyal to a fault. Her personality was like no other. A true one of a kind. The diamond in the rough. Her exuberance, smile, and laughed flowed into all around her. With tenacity and resilience to be envied, Alicia lived her life unapologetically. All of us are lucky to have lived life with her in it. She touched all of us in her own way. Her memory will live on through that. She would not want to be mourned but to be celebrated; to keep her spirit alive ;to ensure the three most important people in her life remember her laugh, her love, and who she was.
She is survived by her children, Sebastian Gregory Gearhart, Zella’Mae Grace Gibbs, and Araeyah Sunshyne Gibbs; her parents, Cindy (Mark) Gearhart and Zane (Rose) Gearhart; her siblings, Brian (Ellen) Kirkpatrick, Bridget (Omar) Rodriguez, and Crystal Gearhart; her grandfather, Jack Olson; seven nieces and nephews, eleven aunts, three uncles, and many cousins and friends.
Alicia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shirley Willitts, Kenneth Willitts, Ann Olson, Everet James Gearhart, and Gwen Kirkpatrick; her aunts, Donna Dennis and Donna Rench; and Baby Gibbs.
Cremation will occur and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
