Richard E. Bishop

Richard Edwin Bishop, age 54, passed away December 15, 2021.

Richard was born March 15, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard Dwane Bishop and Miriam Ann (Stone) Bishop.

Richard’s passion was working on cars. He was a certified mechanic through K-Mart and was so good at working on cars, they sent him to be certified in Chicago. He was a master of all trades and was willing to teach anyone. Richard built and raced his own stock car. Everyone knew how much he loved his Chevy’s.

Richard loved all his family. He was always willing to help someone when they needed it.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Courtney Bishop (Jessika and Aiden), Heather Perry (Bentley), Tommy Davis (Kaydence, Kyla, Kassie, Kynslee, and Vivian), Richard Bishop (Elaina and Kenna), and Makenzie Smith. He is also survived by his step-dad Mark Briley, brother Joe (Amber) Briley, sister Kathie (Gary) Grieves, uncle Mark Stone, long-time girlfriend Brandy Davis, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were like family, and his dog Peanut.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother Mimi Briley, father Richard Bishop, aunt Marsha, and his beautiful daughter Brandi Bishop.

There will be no services held.
