Kelly Andrew Williams, a talented musician and lifelong resident of Des Moines, IA passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm at the University of Iowa Hospital on January 29, 2022.
Kelly was born in Iowa on December 29, 1964 to Louise and Walter Williams. He graduated from Lincoln High School and pursued his dreams as a bass player and pressmen. He touched the souls of many through his love of music, and even more with ludicrous sense of humor. He was always ready with a smile and a joke for anyone who would listen. He was a loving father and was always there to lend a hand to a friend in need.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Amy Jones; his children, MacKenzie Witbracht, Jennifer Rice, Samantha Bernstine, Michael Jones, Shaina Jones, Tanna Jones, Zeke Jones-Williams, Parker Jones-Williams, Isabell Jones-Williams, Taylin Jones-Williams, and Lathan Jones-Williams; nine grandchildren; sisters Leslie Williams and Denna Fisher; brothers Wally Williams, Mike Burgduff, Denny Burgduff and Kevin Williams; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louise and Walter Williams.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Lutheran Memorial Church, 1201 Grandview Ave., Des Moines, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

I'm at a loss for words , he has been my buddy no sorry my friend for a long time he was always lifting everyone's spirits , one of the funniest people I've ever meet he was always there when I really needed him he will be missed and prayers to Amy and the children and the rest of his family

Met you in Little league 1973. Reacquainted in Jr High. Spent the night. Played pool in the basement for years. Knew Walt and Louise. Kevin. Love yall. ❤

So very sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. I had not seen him for years but what I remember is him always being in great mood and always with a smile on his face. My heart goes out to Amy the kids and all that knew and loved Kelly.

My prayers and love goes out to Amy and family. Kelly will be missed very much. His jokes and laughter will never be forgotten. A person could be feeling down and Kelly could always make a person laugh with one of his jokes.

Have so many great memories with Kelly my heart is with u all even though my body cant be I have to work for that I am sorry nurse during a pandemic love u all so many many hugs wished I was there he will be missed by many

This is such a sadness...Amy and Kevin my heart goes out to you and your families. Kelly has been a good friend to me for 30 yrs and I am just devastated so I can only imagine what your families are going through. I will miss his jokes, his wisdom, and his hugs.
