Deno E. Spray

Deno Spray, 62, passed away at his home on January 15, 2022. He was born August 29, 1959, the son of Karen and Larry Spray, Sr.

Deno was an East High School graduate and proudly served in the United States Army for many years. He was a longtime mechanic for Nesbit Distributors in Des Moines.

Deno enjoyed tinkering on cars and go-karts. Nothing brought him more joy than playing the role of Santa for his nieces and nephews, as well as harassing them any chance he had.

Deno is survived by his longtime fiancé, Pam Clark; son, Jason Spray and his son; siblings, Kelly (Dave) Michael, Larry (Terri) Spray II, Peggy (John) Maschke, and Angel (Keith) Schneider; many nieces and nephews; his uncle, Thomas Spray and his aunt, Mary Gambrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Karen, and his niece, Susan Farrell.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later time.
