Frank A. Foresman

Frank Arthur Foresman, age 90, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Frank was born March 9, 1931 on the family farm near Guthrie Center, Iowa. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War. Frank had many jobs throughout his life including farmer, bus transportation services, and vending machine attendant, retiring at age 62. After retirement, he worked part time as security until the age of 80.

Frank was a simple man whose family was his first priority and his greatest joy. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, never missing a family gathering or a grandchild’s activity.

Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan Foresman; children, Carla Long (Denny), Paula Burns (Steve), Roxanne Shindler (Steve), Ron Foresman (Karla); grandchildren, Brian (Jen), Eric (Lisa), Courtney (Brett), Jackie (Jeremy), Nick (Jessica), Dustin, A.J. (Julianna), Mike (Cara), Macy (Trevor), Jessica (Adam), Chelsea; and great-grandchildren, Keaton, Mason, Carson, Nolan, Hadley, Carter, Gracie, Jackson, Rylee, Taylor, Emmet, Addy, Berkley, Avery, and Hayes.

The Foresman family will have a private family service followed by burial with military honors Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation.
