Lois Hall

Lois Elizabeth (Bumgardner) Hall, 94, passed away at Valley View Village on October 19, 2009. She was born on September 15, 1915, to Lucy and Everett Bumgardner in Des Moines, Iowa.

Lois was an incredibly involved and dedicated volunteer her entire life. She was a best friend, loving wife, and remarkable mom. Lois also taught, as well as owned her own dance studio, was District Director for the Campfire Organization, and an all-around fabulous woman. She enjoyed every day, dancing and laughing her way through life.

She is survived by her husband Ben; children, Tom (Tootie) Hall, Jim (Deb Phillips) Hall, Nancy Aarons, and Jane (Karyn) Hall-Dayle; daughter in law, Dorothy Hall; grandchildren, Tori, Todd, Tami, Kristi, Lori, Mandi, Kyle, Eliza, Mell, Kate, Sam, Mag, Joe, Audie, Jill, Jamie, and Ronni Jo; 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bob, and son Robert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed toward the Valley View Village or the Campfire Organization of Iowa.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Valley View Village Chapel. A gathering of family and Campfire Friends will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2009 on Magic Hill.
