Ryan Reding
January 05, 2022
Ryan Reding, 35, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. He was born December 21, 1986 to Timothy and Susan (Tabbert) Reding at Ft. Irwin, California.
Ryan graduated from Bondurant-Farrar High School in 2005. He went on to earn his AA degree from DMACC and a BA in Political Science from Grand View University. Ryan worked in the arbitration division for Nationwide Insurance for over 13 years. His work ethic, knowledge, and desire to rise to any challenge, did not go unnoticed by his coworkers, which made him well respected at Nationwide.
Ryan was a stoic and generous man with a heart that felt deeply about others. His caring ways showed in everything and everyone he came in contact with. His integrity and honesty could be sensed in any conversation with him, as he would attentively listen and genuinely care. He loved a good debate and always had a thoughtful response. He loved time with his family and friends, especially his niece and nephew. He was passionate about golf, disc golf, listening to music, reading and especially his dog Kali, his beloved boxer. Whether he was walking in the woods, sitting by a fire, or quietly taking in a beautiful view, he had a deep appreciation for nature. Ryan cherished spending time with his significant other, Breia, who he was with for the past 5 ½ years. He always enjoyed time with his brotherhood, the Life and Times of the 218, a men’s group that helps each other through comradery and friendly competition.
Ryan is survived by his father, Tim Reding; sister, Stacey (Kyle) Quam and her children, Anna and Reid; brother, Dustin (Mimi Egkhounmuong) Reding; significant other, Breia Bell; maternal grandmother, Vivian (Lew Ballard) Tabbert; many uncles, aunts, cousins, and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan; maternal grandfather, Ivan Tabbert; and paternal grandparents, George and Ruth Reding.
A celebration of life will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 with a time of sharing at 6:30 p.m. at Copper Creek Clubhouse, 4825 Copper Creek Drive in Pleasant Hill. The family kindly requests masks be worn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family who will be planting trees in his honor at the places he loved to spend time.

How heaven gained a loving genuine soul. I remember going to quite a few dances through our junior high and high school years with Ryan. He was a great person and friend. Always had a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Reding family. I pray God gives you strength and peace during this tough time. God bless

My heart is heavy for the whole Reding family. I remember Ryan walking into my 7th grade class with a big smile on his face. He was such a fun kid. I can only hope the days ahead are filled with love and strength.

Our hearts are broken and Im not sure if they will ever be healed. We loved Ryan like a son and can only remember all of the good times we spent with him. Many baseball games and basketball games him and Chris played together. Our heartfelt prayers go out to the Reding family and everyone that loved him. God bless all of you.

When you moved here, you were my first true friend. I will cherish all the times at your house teaching me to play Mario Kart or 007 or just plain having fun. I am deeply sadden. My thoughts and prayers, as well as the rest of the family, are with the Redings. We hold you dear to our hearts.
