Vickie F. Heathcote

Vickie Faye Heathcote, age 65, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021.

Vickie was born July 18, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph and Marjorie (Idale) Freeman. She worked as a package handler for UPS for many years. Vickie was a cat lover. She enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and riding Harleys. Vickie’s greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Freeman (Bryon), Dawn Lampman (Damon), K. J. Heathcote (Brooke); grandchildren, Heaven, Aaliyah, Samantha (Zack), Tyler, Steven (Savannah), Cody (Diamond), Brittany (Mello), Khaos, Connor, Brendyn and Hailey; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Pete Freeman, Joe Freeman, and Joan Freeman; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Heathcote Sr. in 2016; and her sister, Mona Upah.

Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
