Donna Lee Morningstar Benskin

Donna Lee Morningstar Benskin passed away on December 26, 2021 surrounded by family. Born January 19, 1927 to Don and LeOra Morningstar. Donna was raised on a dairy farm on Morningstar Drive, she would later graduate from Iowa State and Drake University, become a kindergarten teacher, and later marry William (Bill) Benskin Sr. where they enjoyed a 70 year marriage until his death in 2016.

Donna alongside Bill founded The Printer Inc in 1973 where she became the office Mom to many. She spent summers in Okoboji, winters in the Florida Keys reading in the sun, walking on the beach, collecting shells and feeding the birds and squirrels year around in her backyard. We will lovingly remember walking into Grandma’s to find her sitting in her rocking chair watching one of her favorite Hallmark movies. She loved her grandchildren stopping by and she adored her great grandchildren who lovingly called her GG for Great Grandma.

Bill and Donna are reunited and now with their grandchild Mitchell. Left to cherish their legacy children: Donella Benskin, Bill Benskin Jr., Susan Benskin, Martin and Susan Benskin; grandchildren: Jack (Nina) Holdren, Grant Holdren, Charla Holdren, Billy (Taylor) Benskin, Mitchell Benskin, Theresa Benskin, Alex (Kristina) Benskin, Christine (Ryan) Greco and Karoline Benskin; great grandchildren: Stella and Elin Benskin, Dillon and Tinley Greco, Ben and Marie Holdren.

There will be a private service for the family where Bill and Donna will be laid to rest together.
