Linda Darlene Kennel, age 73, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021.
Linda was born February 20, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Howard and Virginia (Adams) Luing. She is survived by her daughters, Maria (Kenny) Head, Carmen (Kevin) Holcomb, and Christina Kaisand; grandchildren, Morgan, Kelsey, Kyle, Taylor, Ryan, and Kylee; great-grandchildren, Layla, Nolan, and Adriana; siblings, Marlene Sutton, Raymond (Cheryl) Luing, Bill (Sue) Luing; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She taught Sunday School at United Church of Christ in Baxter, Iowa and was a former Girl Scout leader. Linda was a caretaker to many. She enjoyed bowling and took part in many leagues.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used at a later date.
There will be a visitation from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Linda will be laid to rest at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Restland Cemetery in Baxter, Iowa.
