William "Bill" Davidson

William “Bill” Davidson, 87, passed away December 7, 2021, at The Bridges of Ankeny in Ankeny, Iowa.

Bill was born May 20, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Violet (Hesseltine) Davidson.

Bill was a mechanic and loved to work on old cars and stock cars. His brothers drove the cars and he worked on them. He loved visiting friends in the car shop. His wife, Glenda, and him loved to travel and would go to Daytona during the winter months. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhart, Sr. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Glenda; children, Jean Davidson and Mark (Rose) Davidson; grandchildren, John, Shawna, Eric (Mitzi), Jamie, Andrea (Zach), Jessy (Kaci), and Tanner (Megan); twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Don Davidson; sister-in-law, Sherry Davidson; many nieces, nephews; and other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Norma (Charlie) Comegys and Kenneth Davidson; and son-in-law, Steven Palmer.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Bill will be laid to rest at Elm Grove cemetery.
