Patty Ingle
November 30, 2021
Patty Marie Ingle, age 60, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines
Patty was born August 21, 1961 in Greenfield, Iowa to Leon and Margaret Buckner. She enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping. Patty was a standout softball player in high school and college, and continued playing following graduation. She absolutely loved cheering on her son and grandchildren in their numerous activities, and no doubt was always their number one fan! She will continue to watch over them, cheering loudly …. only this time from the best seat in the house.
Above all else she treasured spending time with her family and dear friends, and was so grateful for the close relationships she shared with those special people. Patty loved and she loved hard – she will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have known her.
Patty is survived by her loving wife of almost 30 years, Brenda Ingle; son, Dray (Lissa) Grantham; grandchildren, Dede and Dax; adopted daughter, Kori (Daryl) Newbury and their children, Payge (Jordan), Colton, McKynli, McKynna, and Abi; siblings, Bob (Gloria) Buckner, Cindy (Mike) Chafa, and Scott (Linda) Buckner; sisters-in-law, Wanda, Linda, and Ardith Buckner; and numerous very special nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and countless treasured friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Margaret (Knorr) Buckner; brothers, Max, Larry, Cecil, and Terry Buckner; and sister, Beth Ann Barlow.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
Contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Susan G. Komen Foundation, or Iowa Cops in loving memory of Patty.

My cousin, Patty, was a unique person. Always a kind word & a genuine way about her that let you know she was glad to see you. She had a way of always saying the right thing. She showed up in the lives of people that she loved & cared about. I'll miss her.

I have so many fun filled memories of my cousin and I playing Pepper with Uncle Leon. The last time we spoke I told her how much that made me a better ball player. I am sure she will continue playing Pepper with him now. I will miss you, and thank you for all the pranks and fun. Love ya! My Condolences to Brenda and all the Faimly. Hard shoes to follow and fill. She had True Grit.
