Brenda Lynn Griffith

Brenda Lynn Griffith, 65, passed away November 28, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Brenda was born on June 5, 1956 in Des Moines, IA to Norma (Rebik) and Clem Novotny. She grew up in West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School in 1974. She worked in medical billing for over 25 years. Her one and only child, Cole, was born in 1981. Brenda met the love of her life and best friend, Jerry Griffith in 1993. The couple married at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas in 1998.

Brenda was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend and cherished time with her loved ones. She was absolutely loving retirement. She delighted in her “jammie” days and spending the day at home with Jerry or talking to her sisters on the phone.

She is survived by her mother, Norma; her husband, Jerry; son, Cole (Casey); sisters, Shawn (Jimmy Autry, Jr.) Zimmerman and Lana (Barry) Schwartz; and her niece and nephews, McKenzie, Collin, Nic and Zac.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Clem; her Aunt Dee and Uncle Bill; her niece, Baby Bridget; and multiple family members and friends.
