James “Jim” Booker, 93, passed away November 19, 2021, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Society.

Jim was born March 22, 1928, in Des Moines to Lonnie and Elizabeth Booker. He served in the United States Air Force for 24 years. In 1962, he married Heather Ronaldson in London England. Jim retired from the United States Postal Service after 39 years of service. He enjoyed bowling and going to Prairie Meadows.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Heather Booker; children, David (Bev) Booker, Jimmy Booker, Ralph Booker (Theresa Scribner) and Michelle Booker; grandchildren, Lisa, Monique, Jenny, Adam, Sarah and Courtney; and his sister, Marjorie Angelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; a sister; and his granddaughter, Sierra.

Jim will be laid to rest with military honors at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter at a later date.
