Dean K. Barrett

Dean Kendell Barrett, age 91, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Dean was born November 2, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa to Carl and Doris (Miller) Barrett. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree. Dean served in the Army National Guard of Iowa for 14 years. He was employed as a salesman for Armstrong Rubber. He went on to work as a realtor for Iowa Realty. Dean was a member of the Bondurant Federated Church. Dean was a life member of the American Legion and a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marianne, daughter Lisa (Brian), 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

His parents, Carl and Doris, and his son Brad preceded him in death.

There will be celebration of life at a later date.
