Service Details

Kimberly Sue Kincaid, 63, died Sunday, October 24th, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Kim was born on July 25th, 1958 to Fred and Wanda Tingle in Des Moines at Methodist Medical Center. She married Kenneth Kincaid on September 24th, 1977. They shared 44 years of marriage together before her passing. She was such a loving wife, mother, nana and friend. She loved everyone, but she loved her kids and grandkids more than anything in this world.

Kim retired May 28th, 2021 after 34 years working for Southeast Polk Schools. She was a wonderful lunch lady for years prior to her role of Secretary. She loved working at the high school. She shared so many fun times with all the cooks, kids and staff. She participated in every dress up day possible and was always “blinged” out in her favorite SEP attire. Kim was a true Ram through and through.

Kim also had a love for photography. It was rare to not find her behind the camera. She took photos at every party, sporting event or activity, of all the deer and beautiful nature that surrounded their home, and of course, many of those precious grandkids.

Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, Everett and Grace Tingle and Harlan and Gladys Gulling; her mother, Wanda Tingle; and little brother, Troy Tingle; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kim is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kincaid, son, Kraig (Christy) Kincaid; daughter, Kelli (RJ) Platt; and granddaughters, Matalyn, Maci, MaKenna, Payton and Londyn. She is also survived by her father, Fred (Dee) Tingle; sisters, LeAnn (Scott) Parker and Joni (Greg) Champion; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

A celebration of life will be held in early December. Kim loved Christmas; it was her most favorite time of year.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations so they can adopt families for the holidays. Kim did this every year and there is no better way to honor her. The family plans to carry on her tradition for years to come.
