Bonnie Launsdale

Bonnie Charlene Launsdale, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 27, 1950 to Richard and Bonnie Lawrence in Des Moines.

Bonnie graduated from Lincoln High School and then from beauty school in Des Moines. She worked many years as the office administrator for Air Freight Delivery and then worked in the kitchen at St. Anthony Catholic Schools. Her last job was a receptionist for Eclipse Beauty Salon in West Des Moines.

Bonnie was a devout Catholic and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church when she could. She loved to read, watch old Westerns, and never turned down an opportunity to watch a good love story. Bonnie loved her pets through out the years, but her great joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jack; children, Donald Tomlinson, Teanna Launsdale Davis, and Wendy Launsdale; son-in-law, Troy Davis; grandchildren, Shawntae (Megan), Ritchie, Mariah, Henry, Paul (Casey), Lacey, Chyann, and Crystal; great-grandchildren, Chance, Emily, Alice, Brooklynn, Vincent, and Joe; twin brothers, Allen (Janine) Soroka and Albert Soroka; brother, Rick (Becky) Lawrence; best friend, Gayle Barnett; and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Joe Lee and Dean Phipps.

Per her request, her body has been cremated and no services are planned.
