Theresa "Terry" M. Perry

Theresa Perry, 88, passed away at Northridge Village on September 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Des Moines on October 25, 1932, the daughter of Howard and Elizabeth Farney.
Terry retired from The Wittern Group after 33 years of service. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family and loved ones.
Terry is survived by her children, Dianna (Rodney) Wallace, Rick (Carol) Hardy, and Kellie (Charles) Detrick; stepdaughter, Sandy Holland; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Nanette Hardy-Caswell; stepdaughter, Patty Fenner; stepson, Tom Perry, Jr., and grandson, Scott Roby.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens on Friday, October 1, from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in loving memory of Terry.

Terry Perry was like a mother to me, from when I started in 1972. Her heart encompassed far more people than she ever knew or counted, always willing to listen and her quiet smile offered great comfort.
We never lost touch through the years and look forward to seeing her again.
We still love you, Mom Terry!
