Evagelos Kligopoulos
August 19, 2021
Evagelos Kligopoulos, 70, was born November 29, 1950 in Litoraho, Greece, the son of Gregory and Helena Kligopoulos. He passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Evagelos worked as a commercial painter, retiring from Heartland Finishers after many years of faithful service. Upon retirement, he enjoyed working in his gardens and growing his tomatoes.
Evagelos loved going to all of his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, as he was always their biggest fan. One of his favorite past times was finding unique rocks at the ballpark or out on his many adventures. Evagelos would fill his pockets with these, taking them home and building a beautiful rock garden with all of his treasures. He will always be remembered by his loving heart, great taste in music and his ornery spirit. Above all else, Evagelos treasured time spent with his family and loved each and every one of them deeply.
Evagelos is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kitty Kligopoulos; children, Evagelos, Nicolas and Judy Kligopoulos; grandchildren, Nicolas, Evagelos “Alek”, Kenedi, Kaiden, Kyra, Karson, Helana and Presley; siblings, Jimmy, Penelope, Nick and Stanley; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Evagelos. On-line condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com

I miss those ole Fairground Little League days coaching against him. You'd think we were playing for blood. I wouldn't trade a minute of it.

So very sorry for your families loss. He was a great example of supporting his kids and grandkids. He was almost into their games as much as they were. They will miss that support. We know we are preaching to the choir but want you all to know it was recognized by others. Remember the past and cherish your memories.
