David Dwayne Cantrell, age 42, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

David was born November 16, 1978 in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in the Des Moines area. David served in the United States Army and worked for Contractors Plumbing. He loved all things technology – computers, cell phones – and was always keeping up on the latest advances. He also enjoyed going to the shooting range with his family. David was a faithful man and prayed every day. He married Sharon (Brown) on August 18, 2010.

He is survived by his wife of ten years, Sharon; son, Brandon Cantrell; father, Michael (Jean) Audino; siblings, Tracy Cantrell, Joshua Lovelady, Jordan Sargent, and Larry Pacheco; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Beason.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines beginning at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of David.
