Marty Oliver Baddeloo, Jr., 92, passed away on July 24, 2021. He was born on September 11, 1928 to Martin Baddeloo, Sr. and Anna Baddeloo (Eisle) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He married the love of his life, Marjorie Giegerich nearly 70-years ago on September 21, 1951, whom he lost just four months ago.

Marty grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Alleghany High School in 1946 and the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in 1958. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 as a corporal stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Marty worked his entire 40+ year career with the Chemical Coatings Division of Mobile Oil (originally Stoner-Mudge eventually acquired by Mobil Chemical) starting as an intern, and then as a chemist. He went on to be promoted to president of one of their foreign subsidiaries in Mexico City, and then moved to Chicago to head their Chemical Coatings Midwest Division.

Martin and Marjorie retired to Scottsdale, AZ where they lived for 30-years. He enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and spending time with his family, and mostly with his best friend Marjorie.

Marty is survived by his sons, Marty (Dr. Cindy) Baddeloo, III of Clive, IA and Doug (Marlene) Baddeloo of Naples, FL; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; their son, David; and his sister, Edna Matilda Baddeloo Hall.

A private service for Marty and Marjorie will be held at the Christ Redeemer Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
