Larry E. Armstrong

Larry Eugene Armstrong, age 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Larry was born March 7, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa to Sandy Perez and Edward Armstong.

He enjoyed fishing, his Harley, his pets, cooking, and spending time with family. Larry had a special bond with his niece Candelaria Acosta.

Larry is survived by his parents, Edward Armstrong and Sandy Perez; his loving wife of 21 years, Leanna Armstrong; children, Larry (Kathren) Armstrong Jr., Nikki Kubby, Amber Kubby, Ashley Kubby, Jesse Kimball, Jennie Villalobos, Tori Stephens, Kelsey Stephens, Edward Green, and Ryan Green; sisters, Helen Lampmen and Mary Beth Lawson; brothers-in-law, Travis Irvin and Donald Irvin; his buttercup; sister-in-law, Crystal (Roberto) Acosta; ten grandchildren; nieces, Leticia Acosta, Kassandra Acosta, Shelia Armstrong, and Hilary Montoya; and his nephew, Benjamin Montoya Sr.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Wiggins; and his grandparents, Jennie Keefer, Ethel Armstrong, and Glenn Armstrong.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery after the service.
