He held positions such as Board member of the Minnesota State Assembly for Surgical Technologists, Secretary for the Minnesota State Assembly for Surgical Technologists Chair of the 2012 Minnesota Assembly for Surgical Technologists Spring Conference, and Chair Election Judge with the Minneapolis City Elections Office.

Chuck was an avid bicycle rider, enjoyed hiking around lakes in Minneapolis, and spending time with friends at his local coffee shop. Chuck expressed his creativity through his stain glass creations, knitting, cooking and baking.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Kay and Robert Putz, Waddell, AZ; aunts, Patsy Sheehan, Omaha, NE and Barbara Weidenhaft, Monroe, IA; cousins, Michael Sheehan, Reynoldsburg, OH; Jodie (Kavin) Kingery, Monroe, IA, Becky (Kurt) Konek, Monroe, IA, and Tracey (Dave) Swan, Lincoln, NE, and many more friends and family.
