James "Jim" Webb

James Edward Webb, 80, was born on January 22, 1941, son of Lee and Bernice Webb. He passed away on July 8, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Jim enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He loved to go camping, fishing, and hunting. He went on many Canada fishing trips and in recent years, he went on a hog hunt and a salmon fishing trip.

Jim is survived by daughter, Dianna Webb; son, Stephen (Melody) Webb; his grandchildren: Joshua (Heather) Johnson, Krista Webb, Justin Webb, Mekenna (Cory) Eshelman, and Metaya (Lucas) Lawman; his great-grandchildren: Mya Johnson, Emmett and Opal St. Pierre, Kenzley and Ruger Eshelman, Bo, Brynn and baby boy Lawman (due in December); brother, Virgil (Marti) Webb; brothers-in-law, Melvin (Jane) Miller and David Miller; sisters-in-law, Eilene (Tom) Strawn and Carole Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Corine, and sister, Annafay Joel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Dr. in Pleasant Hill with burial to follow at Warren-Powers Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m.
