Mary Alice Hathaway, precious baby girl of Kevin and Darcy Hathaway, was born into the arms of angels on June 18, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Mary is deeply loved by her mommy and daddy; sisters, Margaret “Maggie” and Sally; paternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Brenda Hathaway; maternal grandparents, Tom and Kathy Lane; maternal great-grandmother, Neva Eggimann; paternal great-grandmother, Peg Hathaway; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Margaret Hathaway.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, directed to Lane Hathaway Early Literacy Fund.

Darcy, Kevin, Maggie & Sally, we are praying for Mary Alice and all the Hathaway's during this difficult time. My mother used to remind us that it's okay to grieve--it's a measure of your love for the person you are missing. Just take comfort that your entire family stands alongside you and shares not only your loss but your love for this wonderful child.
