Leona Fatino, 67, passed away on March 28, 2021.
Leona was born December 9, 1953, in Des Moines Iowa.
Leona was a beloved mother to her 3 daughters who were her world. She enjoyed, Kansas City Chiefs Football, Chicago Cubs Baseball, Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey, eating Italian food with her family, movie nights, playing games on her IPad, and going to bingo. She adored her pets, Dolly, Crumb, Vinnie and Verona.
Leona is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Robb) Nuckolls, Mary Fatino and Melody Fatino.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Matthew Fatino; parents, Samuel and Shirley Lorenzano; sister, Diane Casey; niece, Angela Fatino and family friend, Carrie Russell.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3rd at the funeral home followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Leona's passing, we worked together at the Iowa Lottery and she was such a lovely person. She adored her family and spoke of them often. Prayers

I am so sorry to hear of Leona's passing. I had enjoyed working with her at the Lottery. I remember hearing lots of stories about her girls and know she loved you all so much. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
