Robert C. Crane

Robert “Bob” Claude Crane, age 83, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

Bob was born September 13, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa to Claude and Gladys (Goodell) Crane. He was an East High School graduate. His passion was carpentry and he built the family home in Adel, Iowa. He loved to go antiquing with his wife, Betty. Bob worked at Steel Works until his retirement. He loved his dogs and enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Terri (Rick) Harris and Bob (Carol) Crane; his grandchildren, Robert (Sarah), Chris, Matt (Rachel), Jacob (Melissa), Janey (Will); and his great-grandsons, Robert, Claude, Korbyn and Jordan.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Gladys Crane and his sister, Nancy Crane.

At this time I want to extend my belated sympathies to my sister, B.J. who was married to Bob for some fifteen years. As I have also lost a spouse in February, my heart aches with hers for I know what her grief must feel like. For I have grieved for my life partner too. My thoughts and heartfelt prayers go with her with the hope that she will survive this. Her brother loves her and will always pray for her to have a good and decent life going forward.
