Lucille Bainter

Lucille Bainter, 93, passed away March 19, 2021, at her home.

Lucille was born September 20, 1927, in Des Moines to James and Olive (Forrest) Price. She retired from Wells Fargo after many years of service. Lucille enjoyed her flowers, watching soap operas and shopping. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Lucille is survived by her children, Micheal (Nancy) Bainter, Richard (Goldine) Bainter, Danny (Nancy) Bainter and Linda (Bob) Newman; sister-in-law, Bertha Dyer; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Bainter; brother, Raymond Price; and her sisters, Rita Gobel and Bernice Johnson.

The family will greet friends Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Lucille will be laid to rest at Avon Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that all guests wear masks and practice social distancing.
