Victoria Mary Krause

Victoria M. Krause, 91, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Fleur Heights Care Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18th at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday.
Victoria was born July 21, 1918 to Fred and Lena Izzolena and was one of 17 children. She grew up in one of the south side's largest Italian families. She was a homemaker and was a championship bowler.
Victoria is survived by her husband of 60 years Archie Krause; her children Archie (Joy) Krause of Des Moines and Dixie (Ben) of Ohlander of Eagan, MN; her grandchildren Erik (Tara) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Justin (Heidi) of Eagan, MN; her great granddaughter, Sofia; her brothers, Sam of Las Vegas, John of Des Moines, her sisters, Marguerite of CA, Stella, Helen, Patricia, Lucille and Judy all of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Carmine, Anthony, Alfred, and James and sisters, Rose, Mary, Josephine and Lena. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
