James "Bob" Eastridge

Bob Eastridge, 81, died peacefully Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Baxter Health Care Center. Public visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th St. SW in Altoona. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
Bob was born June 3, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Martha and James L. Eastridge. He worked as a painter for his father-in-law; was a long time employee of the Graham Group; and later worked with Wilma as an apartment manager at apartments in Altoona and Des Moines. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma; his children: Dennis (Jackie) of Mitchellville, Gary (Grazia) of Waukee; Jim (Angie) of Des Moines, Tony (Sherri) of Altoona; and Mike (Shelley) of Altoona; his 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his brother Tom of Anaheim, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
