Debra Rae Carra

Debra Rae Carra, 70, passed away November 16, 2020 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Debra was born October 27, 1950 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Francis and Maxine Reeder. She moved to the Des Moines area when she was 15 and graduated from East High School. Debra retired from Mercy Medical Center in 2005, where she worked in Medical Records for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Debra also loved making pasta and spending time with her dogs.

Debra is survived by her husband, Joe Carra; children, Jim (Michelle) Hamilton, Mike (Lisa Izzi) Hamilton, Anthony (Michele) Carra and Joni (Jeff) Lyon; sisters, Judith Reeder and Robin Hillabolt; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis “Burt” (Clara) Reeder and Maxine (Ted) Cook and her sister, Barbara Alfery.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
