Karen D. Walters Franck

Karen Franck died October 28, 2006 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. She was born July 15, 1939 in Des Moines to John and Doris Walters.
Karen enjoyed being with her family, watching humming birds, traveling to her home in Florida during the winter months and spending time with her friends. She also enjoyed shopping with her sisters, her children and her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband, Wayne and her seven children; Diana, Deb, Mike, Christi, Cathy, Kaye and Wendy, 19 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her two sisters; Sharon and Sue. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a brother and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial may be made to the John Stoddard Cancer Center for research.
Karen was an exceptional wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of many and was loved by all of them.
